Autumn Equinox Workshop Concession
5-7.30PM Saturday 29 March.
Tiered pricing, concession rate for hardship, student, un or under employed, yoga teachers. Please do not hesitate to get in touch if more financial support is required.
Come and explore the energy of Autumn with the evenness of the Equinox still in the air through a combination of Hatha Yoga and conscious connected breathing. This workshop will ground you with some simple Hatha Yoga based on the principles of Shadow Yoga before moving into a breath work session that will introduce you to your breath, providing space to rest and restore.
Sarah has invited Rebecca from Yoga Yamabushi to lead a short yoga practice based on her decades of experience teaching and studying Shadow Yoga. After attending Rebecca’s regular classes at Green Monday Studios, Sarah has experienced the profound benefits that a shadow yoga practice provides. Particularly in regard to grounding and settling both body and mind. Sarah will then lead you through a full session of conscious connected breathing that will leave you deeply nourished, relaxed and restored. She will guide you to remember the gift of your breath.
Rebecca and Sarah both enjoy sharing and listening to stories and have had many conversations (often with hands covered in clay) where they have discovered so much common ground. What they teach may have different aims but they both teach in a way that is not dogmatic or patronising and comes from a source that is truly alive in themselves. This provides the student with agency and independence, strength and resilience.
